*One of the most beautiful passages in ancient times.
Callicratidas says of his beloved: "I shall ail with him when he is weak, and, when he puts out to sea through stormy waves, I shall sail with him. And, should a violent tyrant bind him in chains, I shall put the same fetters around myself. All who hate him will be my enemies and those well disposed to him shall I hold dear. Should I see bandits or foemen rushing upon him, I would arm myself even beyond my strength, and if he dies, I shall not bear to live. I shall give instructions to those I love best after him to pile up a common tomb for both of us, to unite my bones with his and not to keep even our dumb ashes apart from each other."
*Michelangelo's passion for Cavalieri resounds:
If I must be defeated to be blessed,
Don't marvel that one, naked and alone,
should prove a prisoner of an armored knight.
The name Cavalieri of course means "knight". Michelangelo also wrote:
The love I speak of aspires to the heights;
woman is too dissimilar, and it ill becomes
a wise and manly heart to burn for her.
*Tchaikovsky wrote...
"Only now, especially after the story of my marriage, have I finally begun to understand that there is nothing more fruitless than not wanting to be that which I am by nature."
-- letter to his brother, February, 1878
*About Abe Lincoln the 16th President of the U.S.A.

*Lawrence of Arabia
I loved you, so I drew these tides of men into my hands
and wrote my will across the sky in stars
To gain you Freedom, the seven-pillared worthy house,
that your eyes might be shining for me
When I came
Death was my servant on the road, till we came near
and saw you waiting:
When you smiled, and in sorrowful envy he outran me and
took you apart:
Into his quietness
So our love's earnings was your cast off body to be
held one moment
Before earth's soft hands would explore your face and
the blind worms transmute
Your failing substance.
Men prayed me to set my work, the inviolate house
in memory of you.
But for fit monument I shattered it, unfinished: and now
The little things creep out to patch themselves hovels
in the marred shadow
Of your gift.
* I myself like to look around for proof of Gay themes in art and history. I might seem obsessed, but it's my way of proving the fact that it's been around forever... just not as open as now.
*Kayama Yumi, long-time veteran Japanese yaoi artist, passed away on July 27th after losing her life to the battle against breast cancer.
Her website is at www1.linkclub.or.jp/~y····op.html. Her BBS details her struggle against the cancer until her last few days of life, and you can browse her website for her gallaries and list of published works.
Please pass on the news to anyone you know who have may have read Kayama Yumi's works, including (scanlated) : Graduation Eve, Kimi no Naka de Nemurasete, Kumo No Ue De Kiss Shiyo, Soshite Boku wa Tohou ni Kureru, Zettai Fukuju
May she rest in peace.

Obama, Prop 8 and J-popcon
* YAAAAY!! Obama won! I am so happy for this fact. I sat up like all night for the election and watched it. I am SO happy he won.
Fo stupid Palin and no more fucking wars. Maybe now America can focus on their own country for a while and help their own people before they decide to "help" others.
Congratulation Mr Obama and the Democrats.
* Another thing that isn't good though is the passing of propersition 8 in California. How anyone can even vote YES on that shit is beyond me? Who are they to dictate who marry who and for what reason? This is one of the worst and discriminating things I've ever read.
Land of Freedom was it? My ass.
* Tomorrow I go to Denmark to visit Louisiana Museum of Modern Art with my school to see the Manga exhibition... And then after that we go to a friend's friend where we will be staying for the weekend. This weekend is the anime, manga and other such things, Convention J-popcon in Copenhagen, Denmark. I will be selling stuff and hanging out with friends.
Hope I have fun.
