I felt a sudden hot sear as if a red-hot iron had been pressed to my thigh. There was a crash as Holmes’s pistol came down on the man’s head. I had a vision of him sprawling upon the floor with blood running down his face while Holmes rummaged him for weapons. Then my friend’s wiry arms were round me, and he was leading me to a chair.
“You’re not hurt, Watson? For God’s sake, say that you are not hurt!”
It was worth a wound–it was worth many wounds–to know the depth of loyalty and love which lay behind that cold mask. The clear, hard eyes were dimmed for a moment, and the firm lips were shaking. For the one and only time I caught a glimpse of a great heart as well as of a great brain. All my years of humble but single-minded service culminated in that moment of revelation.
“It’s nothing, Holmes. It’s a mere scratch.”
He had ripped up my trousers with his pocket-knife.
“You are right,” he cried with an immense sigh of relief. “It is quite superficial.” His face set like flint as he glared at our prisoner, who was sitting up with a dazed face. “By the Lord, it is as well for you. If you had killed Watson, you would not have got out of this room alive. Now, sir, what have you to say for yourself?”
It's elementary, dear fandom!
Can't get enough of the Detective and the Doctor? Here are some handy links:
LiquidFic.com Holmes/Watson Archive: Updated relatively often with the latest news in the Sherlockian Slash world, mostly on private sites and livejournal.
However Improbable: A new archive that's growing steadily. Hosts fic, art, and many other tidbits such as fanvids and radio show clips.
Sacrelige!: An older, largely abandoned archive that hasn't been updated since 2002, but hosts many fics that can't be found elsewhere. Of particular interest is Irene Adler's Absurdly Simple and the sequel, An Ideal Husband (also contains femme slash!).
Yahoo! Groups - Holmesslash: Yahoo! group for, you guessed it, discussion of all things Holmes Slash!
AdultFanfiction.net Sherlock Section: Another archive of Holmes fic, all meant to be of an R or NC-17 rating. Has some het and lady!Watson fics, but it's predominantly slash. Recommended: Old Wounds, mention of non-con, but not explicit.
Cox & Co: Livejournal Community for Sherlock Holmes Slash.
Holmesian.net: Not actually slash related, but a great Sherlock-related forum anyhow.

Link time!
Over at the old Livejournal, Spacefall has been showing some of her wonderful, FANTASTIC artwork up for all to see. It's been posted at Cox & Co as well as her personal journal.
It's also conveniently archived at her own gallery site, along with "John Watson: Action Transvestite"
Just... just go.
You will like it. You will like it very much.

I join because my name is Moriarty. Fo' srs.
I also once worked with a guy named Watson so that earned a few chuckles.

Well damn. This club is made of all sorts of awesome and win. Until I bring myself to write/draw something that does these two justice, I shall humbly watch/stalk
I can make it better...Or worse...Depending on your viewpoint, that is.

DOES THIS SMELL LIKE CHLOROFORM TO YOU?!

Oh my, so this club actually exists *insta joins*
I've been a Sherlock Holmes AND a Holmes/Watson fan for years!! But I could never find a club like this before T__T
I used to visit Sacrilege! a lot too
I've stopped to draw them for a while, but I really should start again
Well, anyway, I'm in

Because all I can do is spread the word: ![Help A Pal Project Y! [club=7066]](http://yaoi.y-gallery.net/files/clubs/0/0/7066-1221529685.jpg)
22nd September 2009
When it is the above date please give me a nudge, or a poke.---
Love is the delightful interval between meeting a beautiful girl and discovering that she looks like a haddock.

I don't use to draw nor write about Holmes/Watson, but I totally love the couple so, can I be a member of the club anyway?

Hmm... I have a question. Is this club specifically Holmes/Watson? As much as I love Holmes/Watson, I'm also one of those really weird Moriarty/Holmes shippers, and well, I was wondering if it would be possible to submit that here. If not, that's fine.

HOLD IT. I know I found this club months ago. Why have I not joined?
So yeah, totally. Watson spends more time on Baker St. than he does with his wife. The coolest thing about that is, she doesn't even care. Wtf, woman? Victorians. Honestly. He even spent Christmas once with Holmes, and Mary's all, "Well, as long as you're back by the new year, dearest." I think she gets her kicks out of this sort of stuff.
